ION Appoints 2012-2013 Executive Committee

• ION has appointed its new executive committee for 2012-2013. Sarah Meyerrose of CABLE (Nashville) has been named President of ION and will serve a two-year term. Additionally, the new slate of executive officers includes Jilaine Hummel Bauer, Terry Barclay, Sara Meyer-Davis and Constance Dierickx.

CABLE/Lipscomb Study Reveals Women Hold Only 8% of Board Seats

• ION Member Organization CABLE and Lipscomb University College of Business released their 2011 Annual Census of Tennessee “Women in Corporate Leadership,” which shows little progress toward gender diversity since the previous year.

ION Extends National Resources to Ohio

• ION announced that the Ohio-based nonprofit Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) has joined ION as its fifteenth regional executive women’s member organization. WELD Advisory Council Member and Institute on Women CEO Julie Graber will join the ION Board.
