Marilyn Nagel Honored as 2012 Woman of Influence
- ION Board Member Marilyn Nagel has been named a 2012 Silicon Valley Woman of Influence based on her leadership and service to her company, profession, and community. Ms. Nagel is the CEO of the ION Member Organization Watermark, a Northern California nonprofit that helps top executive women network and accelerate their careers.

ION Appoints 2012-2013 Executive Committee
- ION has appointed its new executive committee for 2012-2013. Sarah Meyerrose of CABLE (Nashville) has been named President of ION and will serve a two-year term. Additionally, the new slate of executive officers includes Jilaine Hummel Bauer, Terry Barclay, Sara Meyer-Davis and Constance Dierickx.

CABLE/Lipscomb Study Reveals Women Hold Only 8% of Board Seats
- ION Member Organization CABLE and Lipscomb University College of Business released their 2011 Annual Census of Tennessee “Women in Corporate Leadership,” which shows little progress toward gender diversity since the previous year.

ION Extends National Resources to Ohio
- ION announced that the Ohio-based nonprofit Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) has joined ION as its fifteenth regional executive women’s member organization. WELD Advisory Council Member and Institute on Women CEO Julie Graber will join the ION Board.

ION Releases Eighth Annual Status Report
- ION published today its Eighth Annual Status Report on women directors and executive officers of public companies in 14 regions of the United States. “Gender Imbalance in the Boardroom: Opportunities to Change Course” provides a breadth and depth of regional research data not available anywhere else.
