Charged for Boardroom Change

Formed in 2004, The InterOrganization Network (ION) consists of eleven regional organizations in the United States that combine their energies in advocating the advancement of women to positions of power in the business world, especially to boards of directors and executive suites. Current members are: Board of Directors Network, The Boston Club, The Central Exchange, The Chicago Network, Financial Women's Association of New York, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives/University of California Davis, The Forum of Executive Women, Inforum Center for Leadership, Milwaukee Women inc, Network 2000 and Women Executive Leadership.

The issue of women's leadership in corporations is of widespread concern. We believe America's leading companies can do better and must move faster to improve the representation of women in positions of leadership. At a time when public companies have drawn intense scrutiny for lapses in corporate governace and failures in leadership, they can ill afford to ignore the talent and perspective available in half the population and close to half the work force.

ION members have already assisted numerous companies in identifying qualified women who meet their director requirements and, working together, can provide access to a greater talent pool than most companies have yet tapped. Contact us for information about how we can help your company.
