Established in 2004 as the Interorganizational Network (ION), we are a national alliance of women’s executive networks whose mission is to increase the number of women appointed to corporate boards. In 2023, we rebranded the organization as The Leaderboard to bring greater awareness to and amplify our reputation for aggregating top board talent. Representing major metropolitan areas across the US and tens of thousands of women working in management and professional roles across the nation, The Leaderboard provides a forum where women’s leadership organizations can leverage best practices, share thought leadership and research, and expand our influence nationally in support of the common vision of a balanced corporate boardroom.

Our organization also works with corporations and search firms to identify potential board candidates that meet a breadth of corporate board skills. The Leaderboard reaches across organizational differences and agendas to stimulate collaborative action within its own ranks and in partnership with other like-minded groups. The Leaderboard can connect and rally disparate organizations to provide a national platform and voice for collaboration, education, advocacy and outreach for the advancement of women across corporate America and to influence collective approaches for positive change.

Meet Our Leadership

The Leaderboard is governed by an Executive Committee comprised of leaders from our member organizations. From the financial services industry to risk management oversight, higher education administration, retail operations, software-as-a-service and more, our leaders bring a breadth of industry skills and corporate governance to The Leaderboard’s oversight.

Lynne Durbin

Lynne M. Durbin, Esquire, represents the Executive Alliance (Maryland) on The Leaderboard leadership team. She is President of InLine LLC, a business and risk consulting firm. Prior to forming InLine, Durbin served as Vice President and General Counsel of Adhesives Research Inc, a specialty development and manufacturing company, where she had responsibility for the company’s global legal affairs and for corporate governance. She has held senior legal roles, as well as leadership roles in EHS and human resources, in public and private chemical manufacturing companies. She is a frequent speaker on legal and risk topics at national conferences. Durbin has held leadership roles in numerous not-for-profit organizations. She is currently immediate past board chair for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, a board member of Planned Parenthood of Maryland and a public trustee for the Maryland Supplemental Retirement Plans

Terry A. Barclay

Terry Barclay represents Inforum (Michigan) on The Leaderboard leadership team. Terry is the president and CEO of Inforum, one of the largest women’s business forums in the U.S. Previously, she served as senior VP/chief external affairs officer for Hospice of Michigan, as VP of university relations for Oakland University, and was the founder and president of Operation ABLE of Michigan. Barclay earned a B.A. in Urban Studies from the College of Wooster in Ohio and Master’s from the University of Michigan. Crain’s Detroit Business named Barclay one of the region’s “Most Influential Women” in 2007 and one of metro Detroit’s “40 Under 40” outstanding executives in 1992.

Suzanne Miglucci

Suzanne Miglucci represents OnBoardNC (North Carolina) on The Leaderboard leadership team. With a breadth of expertise from CEO to board director and digital transformation expert, Suzanne Miglucci has a +20-year track record of leadership successes across publicly traded and privately held technology, retail and ecommerce companies. Suzanne currently serves as board director for private equity-backed technology firm, Terra Dotta, where she assists this software leader in the international education and travel risk sector. Suzanne also serves as Chair of OnBoardNC, a North Carolina-based organization focused on shrinking the boardroom gender gap. She also serves as board director for NACD’s Research Triangle Chapter, and is NACD Board Certified.

Melissa Ludwig

Melissa Ludwig is an insightful, strategic Independent Board Director with Public company consumer products, Nominating and Governance and Human Capital Management committee experience. With an accomplished, leadership career in retail at Macy’s having direct P&L accountability up to $600M and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary organizations ranging in size up to 3,000, Melissa brings deep expertise in resolving complex challenges, strategic growth planning, successful M&A integration, expense and risk management, BTC, diversity of talent and has a record of building new capabilities, positioning businesses for responsible growth, creating a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving sustained success while delivering the optimal customer experience. As an experienced Public Company Board Director, Board Chair of Philadelphia NACD (National Organization Corporate Directors) Chapter acting as President and CEO of the organization, with deep governance experience and understanding, where her oversight and corporate expert skills in strategy, developing senior talent, diversity, risk management, planning growth objectives, an understanding of consumer behaviors and experience can help lead to sustainable growth. She also is on the Board and principal advisor of a private international company, Drexel’s Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Institute Advisory Board, a Villanova Business Professor, pathway to the boardroom speaker, devotes time advancing women’s careers and is an angel investor conducting due diligence to evaluate viability of early-stage companies across industries.

As a trusted consultant and career advisor, Melissa has also partnered with multiple consumer and life science business entrepreneurs in the market developing organizational structuring, business planning, career strategies, and executive talent acquisition with a focus on women founded companies. As a Senior and Group Vice President at Macy’s, Melissa led multiple M&A integrations and brand conversions, implemented technology innovations, supply chain, and built omni-channel capabilities, launched new business operations, and restructured organizations maximizing efficiencies and performance. Melissa advances executive teams and steered organizations through significant business reinvention, transformation and growth while mitigating financial, operational and talent risk. Partnering with Bain & Co., Melissa also led the successful pilot program for the corporation’s business localization strategy, decentralizing merchandising and planning functions, paving the course for Macy’s national operating model.

Throughout her career, Melissa’s leadership accountability spanned the Mid-Atlantic with direct VP-level executive teams and organizations across Operations, Merchandising, Planning, Visual, Human Resources and Asset Protection. Prior to her senior executive appointments as the lead market expert, Melissa served as the youngest, first female Vice President in over 100 years to lead the iconic Herald Square 34th Street location in NYC where she steered a remarkable turnaround generating greater than $600M in sales.

Melissa has served on numerous non-profit organizations, boards including The Forum of Executive Women, Philadelphia Convention Visitors Bureau, Vice President of Susan G. Komen, ALS. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Organizational | Clinical Counseling Psychology from Moravian College

Nancy Nager

Nancy Nager is a healthcare expert with extensive experience in general management, strategic planning, marketing, operations, technology, budgeting, fiscal affairs, regulatory requirements, and business development.

Nancy was the founder and managing partner of SBSC, Inc., a premier provider of medical billing services nationally. She is also President and CEO of Specialized Healthcare Services, a leading provider of medical/behavioral health care services to the elderly and disabled populations in New England. Her understanding of the health care industry, insurer systems and reimbursement rules and regulations, as well as changing strategies in healthcare models offers a valuable perspective on future-oriented planning and programming. Most recently, Nancy expanded her company’s services nationally to include consultation to hospitals and other healthcare venues in need of turnaround expertise, auditing, compliance issues, management structure challenges and other related problem areas. Specialized also has developed many contractual relationships with managed care groups to deliver crisis intervention and post-hospitalization outreach services. Other Specialized programs have included outpatient services and advanced practice nurse trainee internships.

Prior to founding Specialized, which is located in Needham, MA, and SBSC, which was based in Newton, Nancy was the Chief Operating Officer of Charles River Hospital in Wellesley, MA where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 62-bed psychiatric hospital with revenues of approximately $12 million a year. Subsequently, Nancy became a corporate consultant for Charles River’s parent corporation, Community Care Systems, Inc., where she worked on a number of special projects with the owner of the company.

Nancy has a range of boardroom experiences. She served on the Board of Directors of Candela Laser Corporation, a $130 million medical device company (NASDAQ:CLZR) from 1999 to 2010, at which time the board approved the company’s acquisition by an international medical device company. She was a member of the Audit, Nominating and Compensation Committees while on the Candela board. Nancy also served on the Advisory Board of AlyxHealth and XBInsight, private for- profit companies as well as currently serves on several not-for-profit boards, including the May Institute, Visiting Nurse Community Care, the Teaching Learning Alliance, and New England Baptist Hospital.

Nancy is a licensed registered nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator, Past President of The Boston Club for Executive Women, and a member of Healthcare Business Management Association and Association for Behavioral Health. She earned a Master of Science degree in Psychiatric Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, both from Boston University.

Nancy has been profiled in the Boston Business Journal, was featured on a television episode of Innovation Showcase, and has spoken on health care and business issues at Northeastern and XPX New England, as well as other venues.
